Here Kitty Kitty !

The secret of the law of attraction is nothing new. It unfolded 2006 years ago for us Christians on Mt. Calvary. Peace and love triumphs over agony and death. The positive feeling of joy comes soon after. It arises along with the resurrection and reunification with the Lord and Creator.

Which is more powerful the positive feeling of joy espoused by the law of attraction or the teachings of peace and love by our Lord Jesus Christ? Both are redemptive but when joined or lumped together they are an insurmountable weapon. Take for instance the case of the early Christians who were fed to the hungry lions in the Roman arenas and who went to their deaths with stoic or even detached calmness. The prayer in their last dying breaths embraced the peace and the love bequeathed by the Lord Jesus Christ and they never floundered in their belief in the face of the horrific terror. Try using just the positive feeling of joy from the law of attraction before a snarling rampaging lion while you say "here, kitty, kitty."

End of story. Further arguments become moot.

INFINITESIMAL

Infinitesimal is a beautiful word to say, read, or write. It means too small to measure. That is the seed of eternity called energy planted inside us. We make it grow to fullness with our deeds, thoughts, and feelings. The Law of Attraction says we make it grow by positive feelings of joy. I take the side of Mary's Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. I say we make it grow with LOVE.

¾ C (¼-inch-thick) slices celery
½ C water
⅓ C chopped onion
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp dried thyme
½ tsp dried rubbed sage
¼ tsp ground red pepper
¼ tsp Cajun seasoning
10 oz andouille sausage, cut into ¼-inch-thick slices
1 (14-ounce) can fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
1 garlic clove, minced
1¼ C uncooked long-grain brown rice
½ lbs medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

BEEF STROGANOFF


This classic Russian dish is easy to make; use frozen chopped onions and presliced mushrooms to speed preparation. To maintain a creamy consistency, be careful not to bring the sauce to a boil once you stir in the sour cream mixture. Serve with rice if you need a substitute for egg noodles.



1 (8-ounce) carton reduced-fat sour cream
3 tbsp no salt-added tomato paste
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ C all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
⅛ tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 lbs boneless sirloin steak, cut into (2-inch) strips
1 tbsp butter
½ C chopped onion
1 (14-ounce) can less-sodium beef broth
2 C sliced mushrooms
Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
8 C cooked medium egg noodles (about 7 cups uncooked pasta)
