ROUGH DIAMONDS
Men, marriages, and mistakes have the same thing very much in common. They are all intrinsically imperfect. There are no perfect men. Only men who rise above themselves. In the same way there are no perfect marriages. Just marriages that work or don't work. And mistakes are there to be corrected not shunted aside or under the carpet. All three are like diamonds in the rough, forged in heaven to be honed, polished, and set straight through the steely determination of their will, the genius in their brains, and the loftiness of the sentiments in the hearts of men.
