My mother descended from Pedro, son of Margarita of the Roxas Ayala line. My grandfather Andres Roxas was the first encargado of Hacienda de Caluang. It's bruited about by the family that my ancestor before him lost his inheritance in gambling debts. And that the family bailed him out from jail. That's not true. My grandfather actually gave up his share of the Ayala Makati fortune to follow the bidding of the Lord Jesus Christ to leave everything and follow Him.
The Leveriza of my father side don't give a hoot about the lost loot of my mother's heritage. The Leveriza line descended from Levi of Eriza in Spain. The most prominent one on record after whom Leveriza St. in Pasay City was named was a most disreputable parish priest of the old Paranaque church who sired three prominent family lines of Manila society. How a Spanish Jew scion became a Catholic priest is not totally discountable as the illuminati progenitor was a misguided Jesuit himself.
It's a big wonder why people with Jewish lineage like Bobby Fischer become anti-semitic. My grandfather Dr. Jose C. Leveriza graduated form the Tokyo University Medical School on scholarship, speaks Japanese and four other languages, and wrote a treatise on the treatment of asthma in German. He scoffed at the Ayala Makati fortune as Jewish booty. It’s because the Ayala Roxas line got entwined with the Zobels whose patriarch was a Jewish immigrant from Hamburg.
