In the movie Syriana, the fictional U.S. congressman proclaimed the mantra of backroom dealings. “Corruption is a beautiful word; it makes the world go round." And he is right too. We cannot be mutants and shed our human nature just like Catholic countries with identity crises which remain backward. We should harness greed as a unifying force. The corrupt LDP has ruled Japan for half a century and they look none the worse, economically.
